Easily work with GNSS and Total Station
Leica SmartPole provides you with complete freedom of choice because you can easily switch between GNSS and total station mode and vice-versa. Measure each point either with GNSS or total station or take advantage of using both at the same time for the total station setup. SmartPole also allows you to conduct setup on-the-fly, which gives you complete flexibility for maximum productivity.
On-the-fly total station setup
With SmartPole, simply begin the survey and conduct setup on-the-fly whilst completing the survey. There is no need to measure orientation points first, saving you time in survey planning and execution
Flexibility
It is no longer needed to set up the total station first and then measure detail points. With SmartPole, the survey can begin right away. If a point can be measured with both GNSS and total station during the survey, you can use it as an on-the-fly orientation point for the setup. That way, the optimal geometric distribution of orientation points can be selected whilst simultaneously completing the survey.
No restrictions
The location of orientation points often restricts where the total station can be placed. With SmartPole, the most convenient location can be chosen for the total station. Traversing is no longer required because each total station setup can be conducted independently with new coordinates and orientation being determined with SmartPole GNSS.
