Leica Service

Position: Service Technician

The Role

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Leica Geosystems qualified service technician to assist in the day-to-day running of our busy workshop. The successful candidate will have a hands-on practical approach and will be responsible for the service, repair, and calibration of Leica survey instrumentation. Further manufacturer training will be provided if required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, repair, and calibration of Leica surveying equipment, including Robotic Total Stations, Laser Scanners, GPS/GNSS, Level and Pipe Lasers
  • Perform tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision
  • Ad hoc duties as needed
Characteristics/Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Computer literate – competent in MS Office 365
  • Ability to work on own initiative

The Role

The Role

The office administrator will be the main point of contact for our clients seeking to hire survey equipment. This role involves managing bookings, coordinating equipment availability, and ensuring a smooth hire process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

Handle enquiries and bookings for equipment hire, providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Coordinate the scheduling, dispatch, and return of hire equipment, ensuring availability and readiness for clients. Maintain accurate records of all hire transactions, including contracts, invoicing, and payments. Work closely with the sales and repair teams to manage equipment inventory and ensure all items are in optimal condition for hire. Resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the hire period, offering solutions to meet client needs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and providing tailored advice and support.

Characteristics/Skills

Experience in a hire controller role or similar, ideally within the survey equipment industry or a related field. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in using inventory management and customer relationship management (CRM) software. A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently. A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.


Position: Delivery Driver

Type: Permanent

The Role

G2 Survey Ltd is currently looking for a delivery driver to join our team, based at our office in Livingston, Scotland.

G2 Survey supply, hire, service, and repair construction surveying equipment. The role of the delivery driver is to support G2 Survey to ensure timely delivery, collection and exchange of hire and sale items to customers and sites across the Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned day/route in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ensure all kit for the day is present and loaded into vehicle
  • Ensure vehicle is clean and well looked after
  • Be smartly presented and polite to all customers as a representation of G2 Survey
  • Complete all paperwork and return to office for processing
  • Ad-hoc duties to include assisting the warehouse/workshop staff
Characteristics/Skills
  • No driving disqualifications within the last 5 years
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Over 21 (for insurance reasons)
  • Attention to detail
  • Good presentation skills
  • Initiative and common sense
  • Ability to work as part of a team
